Bewitching Wall Decor

 

I created this cute wall decoration for my kitchen using the Bewitching Bundle from the current July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.  

It has a wooden circle for a base, and I incorporated some retired Glimmer paper for the added sparkle.

Here, I've used the Potted Succulents Dies (#154330 ) with Gold Foil (#132622) and paired it with a greeting from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set (#154480). 

Layer it over your favorite color of cardstock to really showcase the intricate details of the background die.  I've layered it over Calypso Coral Cardstock (#122925).

In The Moment Card

Here's a card made using the Gentle Waves Stamp Set and the In The Moment Stamp Set.

In a previous post/video I created a portrait-oriented card using the Gentle Waves Stamp.  

When the stamped image was trimmed to fit this card, I was left with a strip that I incorporated in the card above by cutting it into two equal sized pieces.

The cardstock layers coordinate with the colors used on the stamped focal point image.  These colors were chosen by using the Color Coach for Balmy Blue.

Gentle Waves Card #3

Here's a third card made using the Gentle Waves background stamp from the January-June Mini Catalog (2022).  This stamp set is only available through June 30th (or while supplies last).

This card takes the waves and turns them into sand!  It's super easy, but wow what a result!

Gentle Waves Card #2

Here's another card made using the Gentle Waves background stamp from the January-June Mini Catalog (2022).  This card is a bit more complicated, and requires a bit of fussy cutting. I love the result.  Check out the video at the end of this post for more details on creating this card.

Quiet Meadow Birthday Cards in 2021-2023 In colors

    

Did you fall in love with the 2021-2023 In Color Collection as much as I did?  With each new annual catalog, there's a new set of In Colors to love.

Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle

I recently spent some time crafting with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, and created three cards.  Each card uses a different method of creating/coloring the sunflowers.

The background strip is created using the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder and Pacific Point Ink.

Card #1

 

Card #1 uses only the cardstock, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green, to provide the color for the sunflower and leaves which are stamped in Soft Suede.  A Blender Pen is used to provide subtle coloring for the Soft Suede center.

Card #2

Card #2 uses only the die cut images and cardstock (Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam) for the sunflower and leaves.

Card #3

Card #3 uses Blender Pens (Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and Granny Apple Green) to color the sunflowers and leaves.

Celebrate National Learn About Butterflies Day with the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set!

 

This card is so fun and easy to make.  The background is created using three different colors of ink, blended using the Blending Brushes.  The black cardstock base allows the colors to pop, while the butterflies stamped in black ties it all together.  Sprinkle on a few Champagne Rhinestones to add a little glitz.

Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card

 

I love the 2021-2023 In Color color collection.  The colors coordinate nicely with each other.

Here, I've used the Fresh Freesia along with the Soft Succulent.  The floral image from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set was inked up only once to stamp all three images - first in the center, then to the left, and then to the right.

Having coordinating Designer Series Paper makes it soo easy to design and create.  The 2021-2023 Designer Series Paper Pack coordinates nicely for the bottom edge of the card. 

For the greeting, I used the Everyday Label Punch to punch 2 pieces - one from Soft Succulent, and one from Basic White.  The Soft Succulent piece was then cut in half and "stretched" so that it provided an even "layer" behind the Basic White.  No one can tell it wasn't a whole piece behind there.

The Soft Succulent Open Ribbon and In color Jewels finish it off.

Floral Hearts Dies Birthday Card

 

Here's a non-traditional take on a color scheme.  The Coordinating Blushing Bride and Highland Heather colors provide the backdrop, while the Flowers and leaves are die cut in the opposite color traditionally used -- Garden Green for the flowers, instead of for the leaves.  The look is finished off with Champagne Rhinestones that tie in nicely with the Blushing Bride color.

Artistically Inked Birthday Card + Simply Marbleous DSP + Paper Saving Tip

Ok, I've been on a birthday card kick this week, using the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I can't help it.  I just love the DSP, and it's only available to earn FREE through the end of February during the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

So, here's one more birthday card.

For this card, I used a little paper saving trick to save some of the DSP for another project.  Here are the steps to recreate this card...

 Die cut the leaf image using the Artistic Dies from Just Jade Cardstock.

  Using the Artistically Created Stamp Set, stamp the flower using Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight inks on a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Basic White layer.  Stamp a second flower on another piece of Basic White and cut out using the coordinating die.  Cut the leaf image in half, and adhere as shown.

    Paper Saving Tip - Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies, cut a large rectangle from the center of the DSP (which is cut to 4" x 5 1/4").  Save this cutout for another project.

 Adhere the second flower to the Basic White panel with Dimensionals.  Then, adhere the Basic White panel to the DSP panel, covering up the hole left from the previous step.  No one will ever know you cut it out!

  Stamp the greeting on Basic White and punch one end using the Banners Pick A Punch.  Sprinkle a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to finish it off.
